3 Reasons Why The Giver Movie is Better Than The Book

Book Ain't Always Better Than The Movie.

I think The Giver movie is slightly better than the book because the movie makes the story more intense, easier to follow, and has a way better resolution.
The movie is way more intense because a lot of the characters are forced to make decisions which could end with severe punishment. For example, when Asher caught Jonas escaping to Elsewhere and had the choice to follow rules and kill him, or trust Jonas and let him go, but that could mean Asher would be released if caught. This one little seen made me more anxious than any seen in the whole book did. Just because the movie is more thrilling than the book is one solid reason to why I think the Movie is better than the book.
In the movie, the story is way easier to follow and not as confusing to follow in the book for a few reasons. In the movie after a few memories were given to Jonas they were already starting to hint the plan of them changing the community back to normal by showing Jonas maps and telling him where to go if he was going to escape. The book didn’t tell us any of that for the last few chapters and I was just thinking the whole book would just be memories being past over which did not get me hooked at all, unlike in the movie.
The biggest reason why I think the movie is better than the book is it actually has a good ending and doesn’t just leave you hanging. In the book it ends the story with Jonas sliding down a hill on a sled and thinking he hears what sounds to him like a civilization but then it just ends. It made me not like the book at all because I read through all of the memories given to him of love and real life outside the community, and for once the book gets me hooked then it just kills the vibe by ending it. But on the other hand, the movie actually shows him riding up to a log cabin which lets me know that he made it to a real community and lets me know that he achieved his goal. In the book you are left with tons of questions like did he die or did he find a community, but in the movie you are left with him for sure making it to a community, which is more satisfying for me.

For those main three reasons  is why I think The Giver movie was slightly better than the The Giver book.

The Landscape of Dumb

What Landscape Of Memory was mainly about different people and how they have out standing memories

Does this article have a meaning relating to the giver other than people can have good memories?

I think its crazy how president  Frankland D Roosevelt remembered 20,000 different peoples names while politicking.

No Wife, Get In The Back!

What happened in The Pedestrian is this dude was walking down the street and got arrested by the one cop in a city of three million and is being sent to a testing facility.

I think it is pretty dumb that this dude got arrested for what seems like not having a wife or a "viewing screen.''

Why is the crime rate decreasing in the city of three million? it seems very unlikely for that to happen now days.

Just An Eco

In The Giver what happened was Jonas and Gabriel fought threw the cold and it seemed like they made it to civilization but it was only an Eco apparently.

I think how the ending goes is terrible because you don't know if they get to a house, you don't know what happens to Gabriel, and you don't know if they live or not.

At the end of the book did they really find a town or not? Was it just Jonas hallucinating?

How Much Life Do You Have In You?

During the chapters of The Giver that I read, what mainly happened was Jonas road his bike as far as he possibly could, and now is struggling from starvation

I think it was pretty dumb of Jonas to bring Gabriel with him because now Gabriel is going to have a slow painful death.

How much longer will Jonas be able to make with his sprained ankle and no food, how much long until he dies?

Go As Far As You Can

What happened in The Giver is Jonas and the Giver came up with a plan for Jonas to sneak out far enough so the whole community will have to suffer with the memories that they will be faced with.

I think its pretty crazy that Rosemary was the Giver daughter because it doesn't seem like a person related to him would be able to be nominated for the receiver.

When Jonas sneaks out beyond will there be other cities like the one Jonas lived in or will they be "normal" cities like the one we live in now, or simply nothing?

Just Drop The Dead Body Down The Hole.

What happened inn chapter 19 in The Giver is Jonas witnessed for the first time in his life how a release went.

I think its cruel how when there is twin babies they have to kill one instead of just giving it to another town.

Where does the baby in the box go when they drop it down the chute?
